Hello all,

I have just installed FreeRADIUS, and it is my first experience in
using RADIUS, so treat me as a newbie, please.

My server system is FreeBSD 4.4-RC.

First, I've installed the binary package freeradius-devel-20010310.tgz
from FreeBSD ports. Configuration is very simple, all users have their
Crypt-Passwords in the "users" file. It worked for some time, but then
it had failed to respond without any warning. Restart solved the
problem... for some time.

So, I've decided to install newer version. I have adapted existing
port "freeradius-devel" to use newest CVS snapshot (it was 20010902),
compiled and installed it. Then, at some moment I started to get
uniform messages in the log:

Mon Sep 3 05:30:43 2001 : Error: Dropping request (1025 is too many): from client
fire:31639 - ID: 19
Mon Sep 3 05:30:43 2001 : Info: WARNING: Please check the radiusd.conf file. ?The
value for 'max_requests' is probably set too low.

So I needed to restart radiusd every 30 minutes to get it work.

Maybe anyone could give me one wise advice about that?
