As previously stated, I am VERY new to freeRADIUS.....I don't have the
luxury of looking at 'c' code to try and figure this out. I downloaded the
latest/greatest snapshot; compiled it; looked at the 'passwd' section of
radiusd.conf. The hints that are dropped in the conf file are not enough
for me to engineer anything that works.

Does anyone have an example that I may follow or do I get to try my luck
for the next week or so?

Tom

---------------------------------------
I can get freeRADIUS 0.5 to authenticate properly with my linux shadow file.

However, I need to be able to authenticate properly using CHAP (not by
choice) but don't want to go through the hassle of installing an SQL
database. I know there is a way to specify a 'custom' password file but
cannot find any information on how to do it.

Ideally, the CHAP password file only needs to contain 'username:password'.

Can anyone help?

Tom
