Alberto, Unfortunately, Nortel doesn't keep the patch releases on their server. R18.0-2 was the last R image released by Nortel. Since that time, there have been 3 patch releases. I found the release notes I wrote for the X images and the bug in question was fixed in X18.0.2. It is as follows:
CR.143693-1: * In accordance with RFC- 2869 (RADIUS extensions), the 5399 now correctly calculates the attribute 80 message - authenticator signature on a radius access_request packet. [load image fix] This fix is also in X18.0.3, which is the better choice, as it also contains an additional 5 fixes, plus newer modem code thanks ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alberto Pereira" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: "Rodrigo Pipoli" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, August 27, 2002 4:44 PM Subject: Bay-ISP Error: Received packet from x.x.x.x with invalid Message-Authenticator! > We're running image X17.0.1 on our Bay Annex 5399 and we found trouble > trying to make it authenticate on FreeRADIUS (http://www.freeradius.org/) > > In their documentation (http://www.freeradius.org/radiusd/doc/bay) we found > what caused the problem which is exactly what is shown below: > > "All versions of the BAY software prior to 18.0.2 are broken in > regards to the Message-Authenticator.
