I believe that he is referring to IEEE 802.11i.  The output of Task 
Group I of the IEEE 802.11 Working Group.  This is the security 
extension to IEEE 802.11.  It encompasses mutual authentication via IEEE 
802.1x and encryption via AES among other things.
