What lda libraries are you using? What type of LDAP server are you
using?

I have only tried this on Solaris. However, I complied with
"--with-treads=no" and everything is working peachy. I may try on
install on Linux and see what happens.

I can authenticate fine against unix shadow passwords in "threaded
mode". Perhaps this could be a problem with the LDAP module? I found
something in the list archive about Solaris and thread problems with
version 0.7 and noticed the workaround ("-ldthread" in Make.inc) had
already happened in my 0.8 build. Just a wild guess at this point.

My LDAP server is not the same machine as the FreeRADIUS server. It does
resolve the name okay. I can see it connect to our LDAP server, but it
send a syn followed immediately be a reset unless I give it a "-s"
argument or compile it without thread support.

If anyone has any more ideas, I'm game to try anything. I was hoping to
run this on a MP Solaris system, so threads would be nice.

Thanks!

Sam
