All,

I've successfully compiled freeradius on the following architecture:

Sun Sparc e450 (UltraSparc III, Solaris 8i 64-bit)
gcc-2.95.3
solarins ld, ar, as, etc.
gnu make
gnu libtool

But for some reason the radiusd and radtest application sthat get
compiled complain about an ELF error when run. After running ./radiusd
from the directory I compiled it to, I get:

radiusd: Cannot find ELF
Killed
What is the output of 'file radiusd'. Also, have you done a 'make
install' or are you just running it from the 'src/main/' directory?

Also, make sure it is using the system ld/ar/as by placing:
'/usr/ccs/bin' in your path ahead of '/usr/local/bin'.

For Solaris 8, you may want to look at updating your GCC version. 3.x
has been out for a while and has some sparc improvements over previous
versions ( such as the ability to produce 64-bit binaries ).
