To Alan DeKok: I'm sorry. I thought about sending the files as attachement but it is not seen as a accepted thing to do generally. I tried putting the .conf files to one message but the e-mail client didn't allow it.
I thought about not posting the conf files but you have previously been rude to people that have not posted them. So in the future I will try to post them on a web page. So if there is no Error.: (Isn't EAP START NOT FOUND an Error?) How come there is no error message if the EAP/TLS doesn't work. The Freeradius(debug mode) should be more informative so it would be easier to debug. On my AP there is: Access requests: 2 Access Retransmissions: 6 Timeouts: 8 So either there is something wrong in the eap/tls module or the AP doesn't send correct data to the Freeradius. I would doubt the AP because EAP/TLS document with Freeradius was done with the same AP I am using Orinoco AP-2000. I will try the current snapshot CVS tomorrow because it has changes to EAP modules. Maybe it might help. How ever I can't be considered as an user who sends e-mail immitiately to the list when he runs into a problem. Almost nothing has worked acording to various documents and I have had to debug each step. Sometimes the blame was on w2k, sometimes on AP and sometimes it was Freeradius. I have spend two weeks setting up the Freeradius server and before that a month reading this list to see if Freeradius is stable enough to suit our needs. I don't and I will not complain because Freeradius is open-source and the developers get no money doing it. And I have been proud to be able to get it working for LDAP and other password methods. Just not TLS. But I have been working 3 days on this issue changing everything possibly on the conf files related to the issue. Tried the 0.9 version, tried several snapshots but it doesn't go forward. I understand that Alan is overworked with the development and all the "stupid" questions but you could be little nicer. Thanks for the Artur Hecker for a nice informative reply which gives me a new direction to look for the problem. A new direction on the problem solving is something I need.
