  Yes, that's still an option.  In fact, it's still the default
behaviour.

  So when the home server says "give steve the IP of bill's web
server", your system says "OK".  Nice.

  You shouldn't trust the responses from home servers.  You should use
them only as a "hint" for the real reply, and you should construct the
real reply which is specific to your own network.
