HINT attribute?

Hi all,

I was wondering if it's possible to assign the HINT attribute within the 
hints file?  Ie.

DEFAULT Suffix = "@test.domain.com", Hint = "test.domain.com", 
Strip-User-Name = "No"

Which doesn't seem to work, but I got the impression it did searching the 
list earlier (sorry, lost the reference URL).  If not, is there another way 
to set the Hint variable, including outside of the hint file?
