Hi, I'm a (Free)Radius beginner and I'm trying to install a Radius server (FreeRadius) on my custom made wireless access point that I built using a Red Hat 9 and a RealTek 8180 wireless 802.11b PCI card (can be put in full fletched AP mode) in an old Pentium computer that is attached to the cable network (and has masquerading enabled of course). However, I don't think there's any way with the realtek driver to setup a Radius server , like you normally do on an Access Point http configuration utilitiy (where you can specifiy radius IP , etc ... ). Does anyone know if it is possible to use Freeradius in conjunction with such a custom built "access point" (wireless gateway) , and if so , you you be so kind to help me out a bit, to send me some tips and tricks to start off , or the give me soms internetlinks of literature which I can use to try achieve my goal? Btw, since i have no other linux-systems in my network, it is quite necessary that the freeradius system is located on the same computer that houses the "access point" (realtek pci card). I hope somebody is so kind to help because i really don't know how to start.
