Hi folks. Freeradius is an incredible piece of software and it has performed very well for us. I am trying to implement wildcard realms and think I may have a config problem but maybe I've been staring at the same stuff for too long. If anyone can offer any advice please give me a yell.

When a realm is defined in the users file as below and in the proxy.conf as LOCAL for auth and acct users auth great.

DEFAULT Realm == "wispnet.net", User-Profile := wispnet
        Fall-Through = yes

But when I use a regex on the User-Name instead of defining a specific realm in the proxy.conf file radiusd seems to hang and never send a response to the client.

DEFAULT User-Name =~ "[EMAIL PROTECTED]", User-Profile := wispnet, Proxy-To-Realm := wispnet.net
Fall-Through = Yes


and in fact even if I define the whole User-Name in the users file and assign a User-Profile it hangs. If I let the auth fall completely through the users file without assigning a User-Profile the user is authenticated successfully from the sql backend.

I kill the client before it resends the same request because it never gets a response from the radius server. Running the queries from the debug output returns the proper answers and the User-Profile of wispnet is the same one assigned to realms listed in proxy.conf which return fine. I have even watched the traffic on the wire and no response ever gets sent to the client. Is what I'm doing not allowed for some reason I've missed or am I perhaps going about this the wrong way? (BTW, I get the same results with the CVS version from a couple of days ago.)
