Subject: portslave as nas-software on ap?
Date: Thu, 19 Feb 2004 11:04:42 +0000

It shouldn't necessarily be a complete 'suite' of software. Is it for example possible to use Xsupplicant on a laptop , FreeRadius for authentication , and in between portslave for the portbased acces ?

However, i am completely unable to find documentation regarding the use of Portslave in lan of wlan networks (only regarding dial-up access).

Is it possible to implement 802.1X under linux using XSupplicant-Portslave(on AP)-FreeRadius?

http://hostap.epitest.fi/ http://www.open1x.org/ (http://www.open1x.org/links.html)

portslave does work with freeradius but its very much geared towards stuff like ppp connections.

hope this helps

Thanks again
