No. The data in the TTLS tunnel is EXACTLY what it's printing out. The stripping (if any) of the user name happens when the tunneled request is passed through the normal authorization/authentication process.
I don't know what you want it to do, so I can't say what's going "wrong".
I'm trying to strip the @example.domain from the user-name in the inner request.
