  Do do PEAP (really EAP-MSCHAPv2) authentication, the server MUST
have access to the clear-text password, OR the NT-Password for a user.

  Where that password comes from is irrelevant.

  PAM doesn't supply a password, so you can't do PEAP with PAM.
