Try the following patch:
http://lists.freeradius.org/pipermail/freeradius-devel/2004-June/007261.html
If it works, please say so, and we'll include it in 1.0.0.

Hi Alan,
i've installed the patch, but now i have the following problem:
------------------------------------------------------------------- modcall: entering group authenticate for request 20 rlm_eap: Request found, released from the list rlm_eap: EAP/sim rlm_eap: processing type sim EAP-Sim version 65285 is unknown. rlm_eap: Handler failed in EAP/sim rlm_eap: Failed in EAP select modcall[authenticate]: module "eap" returns invalid for request 20 -------------------------------------------------------------------
I found a similar request in the mailing list, but not the response. Could you help?
I'm also using the Cisco Sim supplicant, which i downloaded from:

Subject: EAP-SIM compatible client

I have a practical question regarding Freeradius eap-sim module...
Has anyone tried to use Cisco eap-sim supplicant as a client for the freeradius. First, there seems to be an incompatibility concerning the eap-sim VERSION attributes. Different versions are supported on the freeradius and on the client (0001 and FF05, respectively). The client persistantly ignores the eap-request/sim/challenge sent from the freeradius (containing RAND and MAC). Therefore the authentication process ends in an endless loop (response/sim/start & request/sim/challenge exchanging).
What might be the problem, and if someone knows an alternative client to use for the testing? All suggestions are greatly appreciated.
