The port is different but there is a stop record in the rad detail file.
What do mean? Is the port in the accounting stop different from the port in the corresponding authentication request? If that's the case then things are not working for a reason :-)
Yes as best as I can see the nas port in the rad stop is different to the nas port reported in the rad start record. (some times)
These ports are provided to our systems via l2tp over ATM from a telco in Australia called Optus. As I understand it they use Cisco NAS equipment.
So my fixer script reads out a stopped radacct record for an ip address which is active and recreates a rad stop record but with a different nas port. This releases the port.
