Maybe you have instructed your Windows Client to authenticate via TLS (or "Use a certificate or smartcard", but actually didn't give it any cert? Hard to say more as you were somewhat unclear in your posting. You should give more details if you want specific help. And what the hell does all of this have to do with Internet Explorer?
