If you run in debug mode (-X) the server logs to the screen instead of the disk.

OK, I started radiusd in normal mode. It's a little better now, a .pid and a .log files appeared but the requests are not logged in a detail file even after several request either successful or unsuccessful : Mon Oct 2 15:04:37 2006 : Info: Using deprecated naslist file.
