I'm not sending it a HUP, I've read where that's bad. I'm using the redhat start up script and I'm using the restart option which kills the process, then starts it. Looking through the script functions it first gives freeradius a kill -TERM then a kill -KILL -- Brian - List info/subscribe/unsubscribe? See http://www.freeradius.org/list/users.html
