i'm slightly confused as to why you have butchered/edited the
clients.conf file to simply put in, at the end, what is already
present in the default config?
anyway, as already said, your clients.conf file contains dodgy non-print
characters....what editor are you using?
your edited part looks like this:
client 127.0.0.1 {
M-BM- M-BM- secret M-BM- M-BM- M-BM- M-BM- = testing123
M-BM- M-BM- shortname = localhost
M-BM- M-BM- nastype M-BM- M-BM- M-BM- = other
}
