You can only compare codebases at actual release points.  That is where
the distribution occurs.

Just because the project provides visibility to the codebase doesn't
matter.  A distribution does not occur until the owner declares a release.

So you can look at the rdesktop codebase at the point of the branch. 
And you compare it to the codebase when FreeRDP releases 0.9.  And that
is your points of reference.
