Having problem myself on Gentoo, cmake 2.8.9 only marked stable 24 Sep
according to the changelogs... thats 2 weeks ago? I have systems updated
every few months, so this is a bit to bleeding edge.

I can upgrade and will do so, but I can see this causing problems for many.
Age of software depended on should be at least 3-6 months _if_ possible.
(to avoid this kind of "support" issues)
