Hey! We often use the smartcard redirection feature in freeRDP. With readers from some vendors like SCM or OmniKey it works mostly (except in combination with Windows2012R2), but with others like ReinerSCT it doesn't at all. This issue is quite a big one for us.
As for the problem with ReinerSCT, we tried the latest nightly builds, different Windows Terminal Servers (2008R2,2012R2,2016) and different reader models (Cyberjack e-com and standard). The testing software "Cyberjack device manager" in Windows always fails with some CTAPI error.
