I know the video, and it still works on that machine as you have seen ;) so, the 'latencey' you experience can have 3 sources: * real network latency (doubtful) * your CPU (freerdp does all decoding in software only) * your GPU (or the bus) are too slow for the bitmap updates (could be a driver issue) in any case, you cold run sysprof and have a look in what is utilizing the most resources on your machine. that might help finding out what is slowing it down and fix that. so you can imagine what happens here a simplified pipeline: -> network -> openssl -> software decoder -> afterprocessing -> merge with virtual framebuffer -> send to GPU | <- network <- openssl <- report latency <- so, if your client is not fast enought in processing the data the server will reduce quality. regards Armin Am 13.09.19 um 14:11 schrieb Philippe Noël: > Apologies, here's more detail about my setup: > > I am running Ubuntu 18.04 (Bionic Beaver) on my local device (laptop) > and I am using FreeRDP to RDP into an Azure Virtual Machine running > Windows 10.
