I solved the issue:
To keep the suid bit on some executables, we move them to /usr/sbin or
/usr/bin . /sbin/shutdown is one of these and xfce calls it.
Adding a symbolic link was enough to solve everything.
I'm trying to upload a RC2 to our master server and will release
2.0.1-RC2 tomorrow (if my dancing connection is going to work long
enough)
