        Sorry 'bout not trying it earlier, I had a long race weekend. Anyhow I
tried it out last night and sure enough I don't have any problems with
loading sysex patches anymore (woohoo!). So yet another step is overcome.
*cheer* Can't wait for the speed problem to disappear.

        As for my Win98 machine... it's the same as the Win2K machine I test on.
It's just dual boot. So it's a P3-550, 256MB of RAM, Asus MB, SBLive. The
Win98 install could be a terrible mess I almost never use it anymore I just
keep it around for compatibility, I should try reinstalling DirectX, that's
quite possibly the problem for me.
