Thanks for your comments Chris and Jason. Unfortunately I can't help with
the problems using OSS.

Regarding Win32, however, there are definite timing problems. These are
unlikely to be resolved by the 0.3.3 release (assuming we're still aiming
for a release by Christmas) but should be in CVS soon after.

In the meantime, if you run freesci with the -v option you should be able to
see what sound servers and midi devices you have available. Try running with
the
-Swin32e or -Ssdl options, or try a different midi out device by using the
instructions in the current README.Win32 in CVS.

Please let me know how you get on and if you have trouble. What speed is
your machine?
