Greetings - I am trying to startup a freeSwitch on a P4 running Ubuntu 9.04 "Jaunty". I know very little about Linux. I decided to try this after reading the article in Linux Pro Magazine. I have been following the detailed instructions in the wiki for using Ubuntu Jaunty, however I have run into an unknown - "Use your favorite APT utility to get the needed packages".
I am good at following direct instructions - but this statement is too vague for my minimal minimal - did I mention minimal - knowledge of Linux. Could someone please give me detailed instructions on how to use APT utility to get the needed packages - and what are the needed packages? Thanks kindly, David David V.
