I actually read this a little while ago (they released a whole PDF
about it). Although they seem to be utilising C4FM, with 9600 baud,
but still most likely using AMBE (and thus allowing repeaters to be
dual channel somehow. Although how the uplink would work is an
interesting story).

Of course, one piece of kit won't do both of these I presume. So,
people will end up with one, or both but with two radios. Not really
an ideal situation. But I'll wait and see how it turns out when Yaesu
actually release it.
