A bit off topic. Can fdmdv be used to encode any bit stream? I tried this
just to have a play:
echo "START the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog. the quick brown
fox jumped over the lazy dog. the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.
END" | ./fdmdv_mod - - | ./fdmdv_demod - - | cat -
The response was this:
����.����y�uick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog. the quick brown fox
jumped over the lazy dog. the quick brown fox jumped o
So the first 11 bytes are corrupted and the last 21 are clipped. I assume
the modem is built mostly for codec2 but it may be good to be able to
interleave any needed digital data.
