Seems a very unfortunate work by Allied Electronics. RS Components as Distributor for the rest of the world is doing it's job quite better... I had no trouble getting my Pi from there...
Meanwhile, I'm going to follow Shane's advice and thinking about purchasing the TI Stellaris LM4F120 Evaluation Board. With about U$D 13, it's much cheaper... But you still do not have that mass ov functions of the ARMv7 rev.11 SoC from the Pi... But for some Embedded codec work, it seems fine...
