This had occurred to me too. But isn't this a fixed-point DSP? The
consensus seems to be that pursuing a fixed-point conversion would require
more motivation than is currently available.
Perhaps someone at VLSI could be persuaded to pursue it as a product? They
seem to be a feisty company that owns the right silicon IP and doesn't mind
carving out a niche market.
