Ok, thinking more long term, is there a plan pertaining to the FreeDV
dependencies? Although pretty much everything but wxWidgets 2.9 is easily
available on linux based systems, this is not true of Windows.
Is there a way to simplify the dependences? I remember from other threads
on this list that we're not using much of the sox functions, so perhaps
there is a candidate for replacement?
Most of the dependencies seem to be around working with audio:
portaudio
sndfile
samplerate
I actually just got a new project, soxr, into Fedora. If we stick with sox,
then we may be able to use soxr for resampling instead of samplerate which
is what Audacity has done in their latest release. Also, soxr has a
libsamplerate compatibility layer for easier transition.
Could SDL replace any of these dependencies?
