The Rebel is a CW-only transceiver.

I think what you'd need would be:

1. Linear amplification.
2. I and Q input and output.
3. Something at least as powerful as STM32F4, and maybe more.

Currently, our software depends on the radio to modulate and demodulate SSB. With an I/Q connection, we'd have to demodulate and modulate the baseband signal. I guess we would use Weaver's method for modulation but I'm no signal processing guy.

    Thanks

I'm not sure who has and has not heard of this so here's an overview:

I'm assuming the on board processor isn't fast enough, even though it has a 80MHz processor but could FreeDV be added on as a "shield"?

I actually got to hold one of these in my hand as one of the members of the club I'm in is helping develop expansions/accessories, etc for it. Because of the secrecy at the time he wasn't able to tell us he'd be speaking about it at the Huntsville hamfest but he also gave a short presentation at our club meeting Tuesday.

Thanks,
Richard
