An interesting exercise, although mowing the lawn is more fun...
I played around with wxwidgets 3.0.0 and where it failed to build was an
if-clause and the if-item was an undefined symbol. No problem, I deleted
the if-clause. Build succeeded.
I suspect 3.0.1 is fine too, as I found what seems to be the culprit.
In my new Ubuntu install, it defaulted to the "Ambiance" theme. This
doesn't seem to work with the Audio dialog. The wxwidgets error is pretty
stupid, and google searches were like watching an ant farm, only nothing
was getting built...
Finally I pulled changing the theme to "Radiance" out of my ass, and it
seemed to work. Audio dialog looks a lot better.
P.S. also, the latest codec2-dev build needs an update to fdmdv_internal.h
to go with the changed rx_est_timing() function.
