Regarding the frequency control and regulators, we have the DAC/ADC
clocks and frequency synthesizers all running off of one oscillator.
The computer is on a separate module that we don't make. Each of
digital power and analog power are set up as two stages with a
wide-voltage-range regulator making 5V and then that feeds multiple
3.3 regulators. VCOs have their own regulators separate from the rest
of analog. We do not use the IF oscillator in the CMX991 because it
has parasitics at audio. There are separate digital and analog ground
planes and a single-point ground at the antenna connector.
