Ironically I've been trying my best to manage that by bumping the release
versions which I see an incompatible change. I'm not enough of a C
programmer to tell from the code changes to I rely on
abi-compliance-checker.

It was just accepted into Fedora yesterday so and has started making it's
way into the testing repositories. It usually has to sit there a week
before I can push it to stable (without +3 karma).
