Ok, that seemed to work, now the problem is codec2. cmake starts a new
instance of cmake and I haven't figured out how to pass along the fact that
it's cross-compiling.

Now seems like a good time to mention that I never intended the static
build options to be the default, but rather a last resort. I went to a lot
of trouble to get dependency scanning working so that the shared libraries
would make it into the windows installer.

There's a lot of ugly things about static libs including rebuilding stuff
for no reason, including wxWidgets which takes quite a while.

If you can cross-compile the dependencies and install them
to /usr/i686-w64-mingw32/sys-root/mingw/ or the Ubuntu equivalent then
you'd really be better off.
