If the case could be removed faster, then a place for a 9v battery on the inside would be great.
I have been using mine for many weeks on a 9v battery and I don't have to worry about power from a potentially noisy source like my vehicle's power line. The SM1000 draws such little power, if I have to change out the battery every 3 to 6 months, no big deal at all. I guess I could use rechargeable batteries and change them more frequently, but batteries are cheap, and easy to find anywhere.
