Yes true about the X-compiling. Meant to say "compiling on different platforms". We also spot bugs when trying the same code on Linux, Windows, and the stm32.

Think I traced it to an obscure init problem, try SVN rev 3689

At the start of every frame are some pilot symbols, for some reason the Rpi didn't like them being stored as chars.

Gotta love open source - different platforms and use cases is a great way to reveal C bugs
