Alan, Steve's point is valid - you have chosen to work independently of the other Codec 2 team members, which means you will always be facing the problems of out of date code, and your code won't get merged.
You clearly do have the C/C++ skills, but choose not to learn the few extra skills (such as using Github), and respond to review comments that I have sent on and off list several times. That's all fine if you are content to tinker independently of the rest of the project, and solve the same problems again and again. Open source is a broad church, and we all enjoy working with it in different ways.
