The issue of vendor support is important where internet-connected
computers are concerned, it's not a good idea to encourage use of
devices with known security vulnerabilities in such an environment.
Older MS OS versions are notoriously vulnerable.

Remember that given finite resources every additional task takes effort
away from improvements. Mooneer has again produced an excellent release
with lots of very visible improvements and new features.

I too would like to see systems with rapid program execution and
efficient coding, but I suspect the truth is that ship has sailed in
favour of the current situation for most of us. I somehow doubt that
Woz could design a 4K graphics system with GUI, multi-processor and
windowing software support using 74 series TTL chips these days.
