Hi Mooneer:

All of the nets that I participate in regularly are weekly, so that does seem 
like a good cadence.  Having someone to talk to helps a lot when trying to 
generate knowledge/interest. You probably need that to build community and 
momentum around any new mode.  

But I also know that people are busy and keeping the net control job staffed 
can be challenging. That’s what makes the W1AW bulletin (and similar) concept 
appealing - it’s automated. 

Contesting is another good  way to generate activity.  Also, Field Day is 
coming up in the US.  Is there a multiplier for digital phone? :-)
