Did anyone ever get back to you on this Richard?

I think that it's probably going to make sense to wait until the
further-developed RADEV2 is released, although I don't think we have an
accurate date for that yet. The python code in RADEV1 will go away at
that point and there will be a RADE C library which can be built and
packaged in the normal way.

Any further information on this should probably come from the
software-savvy part of the Project Leadership Team, which is not really
me.
