I want to add my two cents.
Right now there is no current standard for e-commerce DTD. There are
several companies or organized group who would like to push their
standards. I feel to make a suitable standard, it should be in the hands
of the open source community. I visited some websites to try to get a
copy of their e-commerce DTD; one asked me to registered everything about
myself, and others only allow it to be downloaded to a select few.
What I feel the necessary course of action is to extend on ECML and create
our own standard. I do believe we can make FreeTrade an e-commerce
standard for the 21st century. I'm doing everything humanly possible to
make this a reality.
