Thanks for your reply yes I did downloaded 1.0.4 and 1.0.3 I am now using
1.0.3 both acted the same I know this is a state of the art application
that's why I want to learn from it and use it, in fact I had installed it
before (previous versions and worked out fine) the only problem I see is
that the regular expression use for determination of the application root in
my case does not work I think this is because of the way my hosting provider
set the paths for my account nothing I can do about that, so I told
freetrade which one was the correct path and it is working since it is
loading the welcome screen reporting variables and all files needed for
startup but the GENERATE_SID is not working, but even when I had set up the
database for 1.0.3 and defined the global_settings I find my self lost...

You mentioned yesterday you had version 1.0.4... The official version is
1.0.3 (I think!) Did you get the latest version from the website or CVS? I
would get it from the site.
Did you check the source to see if there were any messages there? The
program is extremely well written and when there are problems, they are
normally displayed as comments in the HTML source.
