Fixed in current git: You need a HarfBuzz version 1.3.0 or newer.

Theoretically yes; we take care to synchronize the jam files.
However, jam itself with the extensions used by FreeType (vanilla jam
doesn't work AFAIK) is ooold, and I haven't found time to take care of
it. And, admittedly, I'm not a jam user, thus my enthusiasm to do
that is rather restricted.
