-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Dear developers,
thanks for making freevo such a powerfull and versatile program. I would love to see two things implemented in freevo: 1. A few days ago I posted on the freevo-users list to get some infos about analog radio (v4l device) use in freevo. Unfortunately no one responded - maybe it is not implemented at all (wasn't there a xmms wrapper ?) Hopefully you find it interesting enough to implement.... I found a console radio program that's designed to be wrapped - therefore it may interact well with python. It consist of a tuner and a band scanner. Executable is only a few KB, license is GPL. Check out: http://www.exploits.org/v4l/fmtools.html . 2. I use freevo as a standalone box in the living room. There are several task (read pics from cam, get new xmltv data...) I manage via shell skripts. I start them with the multimedia keys on my keyboard, but it would be much nicer to start those scripts from within freevo. I'm thinking of a top level menu right above "shutdown", maybe called "system". It reads its possible actions from a xml file, which provides the name of the task, a short description and the shell command to execute. With such a plugin you could manage hundreds of tasks! What's your opinion ?
