I though that too, but I couldn't get it work unless -playlist option is just
before filename.
As I browsed through mplayer documents (
http://www.mplayerhq.hu/DOCS/en/commandline.html) I noticed that mplayer
supports multiple filenames and options that are after filenames apply just
to that one file. This could be used here but should be optional since other
players might not support this kind of file handling. I will take a look at
this later when I have more time.
