While my opinion sounded a bit hard-assed, I am a reasonable guy and I can also see how it would be better to have the windows stuff a part of the main project. You see, I am very enthusiastic about Linux but I don't want to be to the point of hindering development. As Aubin stated there could very well be features created by windows developers that we want for everyone. Also if we all try to do things the python way then some of the linux/bsd/windows differences will ba handled by the underlying python installation.
